Moroccan tagine with chicken and raisins
Traditional Moroccan cuisine is replete with many world-famous dishes , due to their quality and high status , among these dishes we find Moroccan casseroles that are rich in definition in all their forms, types and means of preparation and presentation to visitors arriving in Morocco.
*And for the benefit : onions are known as one of the necessary and important vegetables for the body , and it has a high status in terms of Health and physical , onions are described with a solid smell due to the presence of sulfur , which condenses gallium and Chrystia , which gives onions an unmistakable taste and aroma , which is the substance responsible for the health and therapeutic benefits of onions for the body.
Onions are also one of the most abundant agricultural crops in production , as its cultivation has been famous for thousands of years in the Middle East , Southwest Asia , China and India , and it has been a permanent image in Pharaonic human progress , as inscriptions containing onions have been found in the pyramids and ancient Egyptian burial chambers.
There are many types of onions , including red onions , yellow onions , white onions , pearl onions , green onions , etc. varieties , and these types differ from each other in the centrality of cell enhancers and sulfur compounds.
And in this video , which you will find a link to at the bottom of the topic , I will suggest to you today , a way to prepare a tagine with chicken and raisins in the Moroccan style , a delicious and nutritious recipe , with exact and easy ingredients.
* Ingredients of chicken recipe:
- Half a kilo of Turkey chicken.
- 2 small bulbs of onions.
- A pinch of salt.
- A little olive oil.
- A few olive greens.
- A few almonds for garnish.
- 2 cloves of garlic.
Spices : albazar + ginger + mustard + cinnamon.
* How to prepare the Moroccan recipe:
To prepare the recipe , we prepare a casserole intended for cooking , in which I will put all the ingredients at once , and that before putting it on the fire.
The first thing at first is to put finely chopped onions in the tagine , then add chicken pieces to it and need according to family members.
We put 2 finely chopped garlic cloves on top of the ingredients , and all the spices mentioned above , we add to it a little natural olive oil to increase the flavor.

After completing the first stage , we put the tagine over low heat for leveling.
Add the remaining onions in the form of sliced medium-sized pieces , and close the tagine until cooked well , and as we said on low heat.
* How to decorate tagine:
As a final stage , the traditional Moroccan tagine is decorated with a few almonds , which is optional according to taste.
For reference: madam , you can add whatever you want from raisins or apricots , depending on the variety of tastes.
We put a small amount of water on the bottom of the tagine , then close the tagine , and put it in a quiet fire , as we said earlier , until the ingredients are well leveled.
Tajine remains on top of the fire for 30 minutes until we see the disappearance of water , and then turn it off.

After the onions are cooked and the chicken meat is well settled in the Moroccan tajine , serve with carrot or lemon juice at the lunch or dinner table.
