Moroccan-style tagine with mallow or okra and meat


Undoubtedly, the authentic Moroccan cuisine abounds in many dishes and delicacies famous Arab and international, and this is due to their quality and high and distinctive taste, among these varieties of the culinary arts, we find the Moroccan tagine, which is rich in definition of its status and the quality of its taste in eating.

Mallow tajine , or okra as some call it, contains many health benefits, including the fact that Mallow helps prevent anemia, maintain the natural balance of the heart vessels, works to prevent osteoporosis because it contains many minerals and various antioxidants, regulates the digestive system and prevents constipation, all of which are health benefits in Mallow.



In this video, which I will propose to you today, and which you will find a link to at the bottom of the topic, I will present to you the method of preparing the Mallow *okra* tajine with meat in the Moroccan style, a nutritious and delicious recipe, with exact ingredients with its small before the big and easy to prepare, follow us…

* Okra recipe ingredients:

  • A quarter kilo of lamb meat.
  • Half a kilo of mallow or okra.
  • A small grain of onion.
  • A small grain of tomatoes or tomatoes.
  • 3 cloves of garlic.
  • A pinch of salt.
  • A tablespoon of minerals.
  • A little olive oil.
  • A few olive greens.

Spices: alabzar + skangbir + red pepper or tahmira in Moroccan dialect + kharchum.


* How to prepare a Moroccan dish:


To prepare this recipe, we prepare a casserole intended for cooking, in which we will put all the ingredients at once, and that before putting it on the fire.



The first thing at the beginning is to put finely chopped onions and tomatoes in the tagine, and add a tablespoon of minnows with all the spices mentioned above.



Then put a little natural olive oil on top of the ingredients to increase the flavor, with 3 cloves of finely chopped garlic, and start stirring the mixture well until the ingredients merge among themselves.


* Method of arrangement of components :


After finishing stirring, we put the pieces of lamb meat in the center of the mixture, and for reference, the pieces of meat can be replaced with chicken pieces, depending on the difference and variety of tastes.



Add a little water until the meat is well leveled, then close the tagine until it is cooked well and, as we said, on low heat.


* How to decorate tagine :


At the last stage comes the process of decorating the authentic Moroccan tagine, with a few grains of mallow or okra.



For reference: Ma'am, you can add whatever red or green pepper you like to decorate.



We put a small amount of water on the bottom of the tagine, close the tagine, and put it on low heat, as we said earlier, so that the ingredients are well leveled.



The tagine remains on top of the fire for 15 minutes until we see the disappearance of the broth, and then we turn it off.


* The final form of the Mallow tajine recipe:


After the meat with the Mallow kernels is well cooked in Tajine, it is served with tea or Atai at the lunch or dinner table.
